#03 – Mugs & Gameloop


Hey there!

I’m excited to share some great progress... I’ve been hard at work designing the core game loop, the main lobby, and some fun new features. Now all players spawn in a central lobby "base" where they can grab a mug of coffee, chat, and choose their loadout before signing a contract with a client. Each client offers a budget, a unique loadout with special items, and objectives you’ll need to complete throughout your voyage.

Once the voyage begins, you and your crew will navigate your ship through a procedurally generated fractal world filled with mysterious creatures. We’ve essentially built the main game loop, and I’m really happy with how things are shaping up... Though there’s still a long road ahead before we have a fully working prototype.

Below are some very early shots of fights with new enemies that might catch you off guard aboard your ship along with glimpses of us hanging out in the main lobby and UI elements for selecting clients, deck building, and loadout. Hope you like them!


And don’t be fooled by the coffee mugs and casual vibes, we’re still fully committed to the game’s horror atmosphere. We just like to have fun during the development:)
